Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > The reds of Fall are marvelous, it exites the senses. I would live in a climate where Fall is eternal
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > Layers and colours, this make this time of the year magical.
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > It looks the soy beans are ready, the machine is not.
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > 2012/10/05 - Where used to be a Heron in a pond is now dry!
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > "Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
I shall smile when wreaths of snow
Blossom where the rose should grow;
I shall sing when night’s decay
Ushers in a drearier day." - BY EMILY JANE BRONTË
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > This is a rainy day, lots of opportunities
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > The Canadian Parliament Library - "The Library’s architects felt that only a Gothic Revival building “could be adapted to a site at once so picturesque and so grand.” With its massive flying buttresses and rough exterior of Nepean sandstone, the Library looks as if it were hewn from the craggy bluff separating it from the Ottawa River."
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > Even where there is decay, life flourish
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > I am wondering if he sees a fish out there.
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > "Whether poised at a river bend or cruising the coastline with slow, deep wingbeats, the Great Blue Heron is a majestic sight. This stately heron with its subtle blue-gray plumage often stands motionless as it scans for prey or wades belly deep with long, deliberate steps. They may move slowly, but Great Blue Herons can strike like lightning to grab a fish or snap up a gopher. In flight, look for this widespread heron’s tucked-in neck and long legs trailing out behind." - from Allaboutbirds.org
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > Direction to go home: take the Saguenay River down, turn right when you get at the St-Laurence river. Keep going pass Quebec City, Montreal, Kingston then enter lake Ontatio. Make your way to Lake Erie thru Niagara Falls. Enter Lake St-Clair then go up the St-Clair river. You are there once you reach lake Huron.
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > This could be a fresco from ancient greece but instead, this is a modern digital creation. Made from a water reflection as a starting point, then adding elements as I see fit.
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > On July 19th, 20th and 21st 1996, torrential rain fell on the Saguenay--Lac-Saint-Jean region, especially on the area of the Saguenay. Over 260 millimetres of rain fell for 50 consecutive hours causing the flash floods in many important waterways. Dubbed as the "Saguenay flood", it is one of the most important natural disaster in the history of the Province of Quebec. The damages caused by the catastrophic rainfall tally up to around 700 million dollars Canadian. Who hasn't seen the Little White House stand firm in the midst of Chicoutimi River's furious flow. This home quickly became a symbol of resistance, courage and determination for Saguenay's population. While most of the Basin's homes were swept away by the current, the Little White House resisted to this raging nature.
Why did such a small centennial home resist to the force of the water when some of its neighbours were swept away? First of all, when the Kénogami barrier lake was risen at the beginning of the century, the owners of the house took precautions and rose the building on higher concrete foundations. Was this a premonition that one day the Kénogami lake would flow over? Moreover, the house was built on solid rock, a part of which is jutting out and thus deviated the water , protecting the foundations.

The Little White House of Gédéon Street will remain in the collective memory of the Saguenay population for a long time.
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > there are times that looking under things makes you discover. I could say that this is the same with people.
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > 2012-09-20 I was just far enough to observe this great blue heron looking for food.
