Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > Feb 15th, 2008 - Funny how we can turn crazy sometimes. I just could not get the right light and the feel I wanted. An Olive, huuum, Idea! I took a glass and filled it with olive oil, then I shot with a remote flash through the glass of oil. Have a great day and hope you like it. JY

Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > Dec.22nd, 2007 It is gray, the snow is melting but it did not prevent to create some flakes! I discovered this effect by chance, I guess a little inspired by Rick's latest series! Have a great day! --JY
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > Dec.23rd, 2007 Well, it is still raining and wind is strong to blow off a photographer! Here is a quick tutorial about creating these patterns; you might find a better way. 1. I really took a picture! you can find it in this gallery 2. I made it as pretty as I could, then I applied a "stereo" effect. It basically spit the color channels side by side. This is the secret to get colors, otherwise you can skip this step. 3. Now, let the fun begin and apply the "kaleidoscope" effect to the source image. Simple isn't it? You can create zillons of different patterns, I must have made hundreds of them and they never look the same. Btw, I use Picture Window Pro 4 to do all this but I am sure you can use anyone of them. Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > September 3rd, 2007 Modern cuisine's portion are sometimes very little! The plate got fuller after the shot! I just try to experiment with my 50mm lens and some selective focus while waiting for the salmon to finish cooking on the BBQ.

This is 146,000 gallons of fuel saved per year. Well, you could make it water and a lot more people could drink. Have a great day -JY
Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > Oct.24th, 2007 Listen to the radio. This one used to be my grand-father's and it is probably 100 years old or more. Believe it or not, it still works. I use to make jokes with the kids when they were little telling them they could listen broadcast from the past. It caught their attention a few times but went back to TV in a hurry!
