Just down the river, it was last Fall, gorgeous evening.
The lake is being covered by ice after the cold week.
This is my favorite tree on top of its small hill. Composite of three pictures; a real sunset, a real tree and real stone make for a surreal scene.
The shadows will show the direction and the light is the source.
One that did not survive its environment
Yesterday was a summer like sunset, I have taken this shot many times but never done this crop.
Big Orange is rising. WE did not see a real sunrise for weeks. I am glad that I had my camera with me!
A glow after the storm, a tree still standing tall in the snow raising above the fence.

"Oh! where do fairies hide their heads,
When snow lies on the hills,
When frost has spoiled their mossy beds,
And crystallized their rills?"

~Thomas Haynes Bayly
Growing separate from the others. This is a 3:1 crop. I made sure to have more trees at the left to balance the picture without competing with the center of interest. Hope it works...
