Nov.4th, 2007 I was driving along with this marvelous sky in front of me. My head was spinning; I need a subject, omg give me something to shoot with this sky. I saw this little church a bit remote from the road so I took the turn on 2 wheels at this country road, ran out of the car, set-up the tripod. Sh... the car is in the way, run to back it up and got this. The sun was rising fast on top of the hill but I think that it is not too distracting. Happy Sunday --JY
Nov.6th, 2007 Petrolia is a town in Ontario, Canada, near Sarnia, Ontario. It is billed as "Canada's Victorian Oil Town" and is often credited with starting the world oil industry around 1857. Oil men from Petrolia traveled to the far reaches of the world (Gobi Desert, Arctic, Iran, Indonesia, USA, Australia, Russia, and over 80 other countries) teaching others how to find and extract crude oil. Those born and raised in Petrolia are referred to as "Hard Oilers", paying tribute to the toughness of its ancestors. Petrolia is also home to the Petrolia Discovery museum. Oil fields in the area are still pumping there to this day.
